Xeomin® in Philadelphia, PA
Have frown lines between your brows got you down? If so, you might be a good candidate for Xeomin® performed by Dr. Raymond D. Jean of Main Line Plastic Surgery. We are proud to provide this filler to patients in Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Bryn Mawr, and other nearby areas in Pennsylvania.
What is Xeomin®?
Manufactured by Merz Pharmaceuticals, Xeomin® is an FDA-approved medication for treating moderate and severe frown lines and brow creases. Containing botulinum toxin A, Xeomin® suppresses nerve activity in the forehead muscles, which in turn smooths the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It may also be used to treat medical conditions such as blepharospams (involuntary spams or closing of the eyelids) or cervical dystonia (spams in the neck).
Am I a Good Candidate for Xeomin®?
You may be a good candidate for Xeomin® if you are not allergic to any of the ingredients in it and have not been diagnosed with any bleeding, muscular, or nerve disorders. Many of our patients choose Xeomin® over Botox® because this filler does allow for some muscle movement, and may, therefore, cause the forehead to feel less stiff.
Planning your Xeomin® Treatment
During your consultation, we will collect a health history to determine if you are a good candidate for Xeomin®. If Dr. Jean gives you the go-ahead, we’ll then set up a time that is most convenient for you. A Xeomin® injection can be performed in about 30 minutes or so, which includes prep time.
How is Xeomin® Performed?
First, an aesthetician will cleanse your skin and prepare a vial of Xeomin® solution. Next, Dr. Jean will determine the best spot(s) for injection, and may make tiny dots on your skin to guide him in administering them. The actual injections are performed very quickly, usually within just a few minutes, and then you are all done.
How Much Does Xeomin® Cost in Philadelphia?
Medical spa procedures such as Xeomin® are highly customized, meaning that a number of variables are used to calculate the price. In addition to payment through cash, personal check, and major credit/debit cards, we also accept CareCredit® financing. CareCredit® works like a credit card, offering low-interest rates and easily affordable payments to help you afford Xeomin® on your terms.
