Thigh Lift in Philadelphia, PA
One of the biggest problem areas among our patients in Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Bryn Mawr, and other nearby areas in Pennsylvania is the thighs. Many people who are struggling to slim and tone the thighs turn to Main Line Plastic Surgery for a thigh lift performed by Dr. Raymond D. Jean.
What is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift is a procedure in which excess skin is removed from the thighs to reduce sagging or reduce their size. It may be performed on the inner thighs to create a “thigh gap”, or on the outer thighs to reduce saddle bags and create a more shapely appearance.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Thigh Lift?
Many people have disproportionately heavy thighs that often become even larger through exercise. Others frequently experience chaffing because their large thighs rub together whenever they walk. If you are bothered by either of these conditions, a thigh lift could be right for you.
Planning your Thigh Lift Treatment
Following a thigh lift, you could need to limit strenuous activities such as running and might also be unable to stand for an extended period. Keep these things in mind so that you can arrange for some time off from work or ask someone to help you around the house if needed.
How is a Thigh Lift Performed?
Dr. Jean will first measure both of your thighs to determine how much fat and extra skin should be removed from each one. He may also mark those areas with a marker to help guide him in making incisions. After administering local anesthesia, Dr. Jean will make an incision in your groin area or along the inside of your thigh so that he can access internal tissues. The appropriate adjustments are made, and then your incision will be closed with staples or dissolvable stitches.
How Much Does a Thigh Lift Cost in Philadelphia?
Plastic surgery procedures such as a thigh lift are highly customized, meaning that a number of variables are used to calculate the price. In addition to payment through cash, personal check, and major credit/debit cards, we also accept CareCredit® financing. CareCredit® works like a credit card, offering low-interest rates and easily affordable payments to help you afford a thigh lift on your terms.
What to Expect* after a Thigh Lift

Recovering from a Thigh Lift
Some bruising is possible following a thigh lift. Wearing your compression garment will keep this bruising to a minimum and help it go away faster. Your legs may be sore after walking or climbing stairs, but this is completely normal. Use an over-the-counter medication if you notice extreme discomfort.
