Radiesse® in Philadelphia, PA
As you age, you may notice a loss of volume in your face or hands due to lowered collagen production. Radiesse® is one treatment designed to “fill in” sunken areas of the face or hands so that you appear younger. It is available at Main Line Plastic Surgery, serving patients in Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Bryn Mawr, Bucks County, Wayne, Upper Darby, Abington, and other nearby areas in Pennsylvania.
What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is an FDA-approved gel consisting of calcium hydroxylapatite. Calcium hydroxylapatite particles are very fine, meaning that Radiesse® injections will provide you with a very smooth appearance. This filler goes to work almost immediately, plumping the skin and causing it to appear firmer. You will also notice continued results over time, as the solution stimulates your own body’s collagen production, something that decreases with age and is largely responsible for volume loss.
Am I a Good Candidate for Radiesse®?
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take Radiesse®; however, nearly everyone else can easily have an injection without any worries. Please let Dr. Jean know if you have any allergies to medication or have ever suffered an allergic reaction to any other dermal filler in the past.
Planning your Radiesse® Treatment
The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in Radiesse® are visible in X-ray screenings and CT scans. Keep this in mind and schedule any tests before your Radiesse® injection if possible. Radiesse® should not affect the results of any ultrasounds or a mammogram.
How is Radiesse® Performed?
Radiesse® does not require any anesthesia; however, the solution itself is mixed with lidocaine, which is a numbing agent. As such, you should feel little or no discomfort as Radiesse® is injected just underneath your skin. The procedure takes only a few minutes and will be over within virtually no time.
How Much Does Radiesse® Cost in Philadelphia?
Medical spa procedures such as Radiesse® are highly customized, meaning that a number of variables are used to calculate the price. In addition to payment through cash, personal check, and major credit/debit cards, we also accept CareCredit® financing. CareCredit® works like a credit card, offering low-interest rates and easily affordable payments to help you afford Radiesse® on your terms.
What to Expect* after Radiesse®
You should notice some increase in fullness right away, with the final results being seen in about a day or so. Many patients are able to maintain their results for a full year, while others may notice them fading at about nine months or so. After that time, you can easily undergo a second injection if you would like.
Recovering from Radiesse®
Virtually no recovery is needed, so you can continue on with your daily activities as normal. Many of our patients have a Radiesse® injection and then return to work immediately afterwards, while others take the rest of the day off, it’s completely your choice.
Main Line Plastic Surgery, serving patients in Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Bryn Mawr, and other nearby areas in Pennsylvania, invites you to contact their office today to find out more about the Radiesse® procedure.
