Bellafill® in Philadelphia, PA
Not many dermal fillers can treat acne scars as well as nasolabial folds, but Bellafill® can. Main Line Plastic Surgery, serving the residents of Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Bryn Mawr, Abington, Bucks County, and other nearby areas in Pennsylvania, is proud to offer Bellafill® to patients who are concerned with either of these two issues.
What is Bellafill®?
Developed by aesthetics company Suneva Medical, Bellafill® is a dermal filler consisting of collagen and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) microspheres. When injected underneath the skin, it “raises” areas that are sunken in due to acne scarring, as well as the deep creases that often form between the nose and mouth as a person ages. It provides longer-lasting results than nearly every other filler on the market, up to five years in many cases.
Am I a Good Candidate for Bellafill®?
Bellafill® has been proven safe for patients over the age of 21. However, no studies have been performed on pregnant or breastfeeding women, so you should forego treatment if you are expecting or nursing. Please let us know if you are allergic to any substances or medications so that we can check for possible interactions.
Planning your Bellafill® Treatment
The day of your appointment, you should cleanse your skin thoroughly with an antiseptic cleanser. Do not wear any cosmetics, moisturizer, or sunscreen to your appointment. You should also schedule your appointment at least two weeks apart from any more invasive skin procedures such as a chemical peel or microdermabrasion.
How is Bellafill® Performed?
Dr. Jean will first examine your face to determine which areas might benefit from a Bellafill® injection. This will also give him an idea of how much solution to prepare. After filling a syringe, he will inject precise amounts of filler into the targeted areas, a process that typically takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
How Much Does Bellafill® Cost in Philadelphia?
Medical spa procedures such as Bellafill® are highly customized, meaning that a number of variables are used to calculate the price. In addition to payment through cash, personal check, and major credit/debit cards, we also accept CareCredit® financing. CareCredit® works like a credit card, offering low-interest rates and easily affordable payments to help you afford Bellafill® on your terms.
What to Expect* after Bellafill®
*You will notice some results almost immediately, with the full benefits visible within a few days. That is normally how long it takes for any bruising, redness, or lumps to disappear.
Recovering from Bellafill®
Some itching, redness, and bruising is normal following a Bellafill® injection. Use a cold compress as needed, and take an over-the-counter medication such as Benadryl® if you suffer from severe itching.
It’s not uncommon for people to suffer acne scars, a loss in cheek volume, and nasolabial folds all at the same time. Bellafill® is one treatment that can resolve all of these issues, and is available at Main Line Plastic Surgery for patients in Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Bryn Mawr, and other nearby areas in Pennsylvania.
